Set in the grounds of a beautiful Shropshire Estate our Reflection Pool Hide seats 4 comfortably, has toilet facilities onsite and is kitted out with gimbal heads and bean bags. We also have daily visits from a large number of woodland birds including Jays,Woodpeckers,Nuthatch,Buzzard,Grey Wagtail etc
About Willow Reflection Pool Hide
Willow Hide is based in the grounds of a beautiful estate,near Market Drayton which is located near the county borders of Shropshire,Staffordshire and Cheshire and the hide is just 20 minutes from the M6 junction 14/15/16. There is a 2 minute walk to the hide and the path to the hide has excellent views over the lake and boathouse.
The hide is situated near 3 willow trees on an area of ground that is bordered by woodland and a river and has been located with position and comfort in mind.The hide offers a number of different background shots, either clean or natural and a day spent here gives the opportunity for a nice portfolio of shots.
Inside, the hide has 2 hide plates with gimbal heads, 2 double beanbags,scrim netting over the viewing shutters,mobile phone charger, hooks to locate your camera bags/ coats and comfortable padded seats and there are toilet facilities onsite.
This hide has been located with Woodland birds and Buzzards in mind and has a beautiful reflection pool, with different posts, perches and feeding stations which attract – Jay,Woodpecker,Sparrowhawk,Nuthatch,Bullfinch,Great Tits, Blue Tits,Long tailed tits,Grey Wagtai,Robin,Siskin,Greenfish,Goldfinch,Buzzard,Phesant.Mallard, Kestrel and even the odd Grass snake
Cost
The cost is just £80 per person per day and represents the best value in the country.
Group Size
Willow hide is 4m x 2.4m and is only ever let to a maximum of 4 people per day, which gives you the potential to use 2 camera bodies if you wish.
Directions/Meeting
For this hide we meet at 8am at The Loggerheads Pub Car Park, 1 Eccleshall Rd, Loggerheads, Market Drayton TF9 2QU which is located on the A53 Newcastle-Under -Lyme to Shrewsbury Road and the meeting location is just 20-25 minutes from the M6 either junction 14/15 or 16
It is a 5 minute drive to the hide from the meeting point and a 2 minute walk from the car park to the hide and we aim to be set up for 8.15am and the hide can be used until 5pm.
What To Bring
You will need boots as sometimes it can be a it muddy underfoot and please keep to the pathways shown to you.
Warm clothing and a flask of something warm is recommended in the colder months and you’ll need a lens in the 300mm- 600mm range,remember spare batteries and memory cards as well as you camera bodies band its always good to have a spare bean bag.
Conditions of Booking
1.The hide is yours for the day, no smoking is permitted and please enter and leave the hide quietly in order to protect and respect the wildlife.
2. When you leave the hide then please return to your car and don’t walk around the estate, we are there with the kind permission of the owners.
3. Please take all your litter home and leave everything as you found it.
4. Photography is only allowed from within the hide.
